1. VEWS: (Vibroacoustic Early Warning Systems) Germany- Malaysia

Further developments on aero derivative gas turbine monitoring. Diagnostic services to customers on remote plants. Field service and customer contact.
-This applies to various aeroderivative gas turbines, helicopter gas turbines, and various helicopter gearbox teststand equipment.
** Early fault detection by developing and testing various methods for implementing fault detection precursors.

2. RSEW (Rotating Stall Early Warning) system- New technology

Further development of the system which is a very efficient application for flow instability detection in axial flow compressors together with rub indication and general machine diagnostic in 1 package.

3. Main projects / customers to serve:

CHC HeliOne: SOLA-Norway
They have one engine and one gearbox test and repair facility. They currently build new engines for Turbomeca-Makila A1. A new testcell will be built for another type of engine which demands a new repair shop as well.
-HUMS are under continuous development, and additional warning precoursors could be provided from Dynatrend.

OPRA Turbines: TANANGER-Norway
Dynatrend are chosen to do local service to the vibration monitoring equipment, and will provide with diagnostic services and special service/ equipment. This work is still pending.

OEM support:
Dynatrend's new RSEW application for stall/surge detection is proving to be a very valuable tool. A further development of this tool is necessary, and the candidate will be heavily involved in this work.
RSEW provides with flow instability detection and demands further developing and testing for various methods for implementing fault detection precursors.
RSEW is only measuring from outside of  the casings, and has proven particularly efficient for compressors with “hidden stages” which means that pressure sensors, tip timing etc, cannot be mounted due to diffuser housings, bleed tubes, double walls,etc.
